About Me
Hello fellow pottery lovers! Here’s a little background for you.. From when I was a young girl (still am, who am I kidding) I’ve loved playing in the mud. Sift dirt to make the perfect consistency, add some water, squish it around, pat it out and there you have it. A wonderful mud pie. When I was about 10, I made my very first piece of pottery with dirt from the backyard. Dried it, painted it white with some craft paint and mod-podged a rose I’d cut from a magazine right onto the bottom of that little bowl. I wished to make ‘the real stuff’ ever on.
In August of 2017 I found a place that gave pottery classes. Oh joyful days! My wish had become a reality! I had several months of fun, sometimes frustrating classes (I’ll never get it right!) but I did. With lots of practice. I mean lots. And believe me I still have struggles and sometimes things just hafta get smashed up to start over. I’m sure it always will be. Not every day is a perfect pot-making day. (Yes, I have prayed over that kiln several times in hopes things would just please turn out on that last firing and not be bubbled after all the work up to that point) Enough about that! I’m so happy to share with you my pottery! It’s my little happy spot and hopefully can make you happy too, as you sit down with a cup of hot coffee (or hot chocolate, you do you, both are awesome) or tea....the list goes on. Enjoy!
